vera luck
Initially drawn to yoga out of curiosity and a home stretching routine, Vera quickly became a dedicated student after experiencing yoga’s many benefits, including freedom from the pain of scoliosis. She found her yoga home in the Ashtanga Vinyasa system, which she enjoys for its traditionalism, physical challenge, and meditative effects.
Her teaching emphasizes that students of all levels can adapt the practice to suit their needs, and recognizes that as our lives and bodies change, so does our yoga practice. As a working mom, wife, student, and yogi, she continually explores how to maintain balance, on and off the mat.
Vera holds a 230-hour teaching certificate from Asheville Yoga Center and has completed additional teacher training in Ashtanga with Yael Zemack-Rugar and Mary Kay West. She is inspired by her local teachers, Kathy Hallen and Fran Slavich, and participates in workshops with world renowned yogis whenever she can.
