Carson Mather
Carson completed the 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training at blue lotus in 2009, and received certification in Pre- & Post-natal Yoga at Wilmington Yoga Center.
Carson discovered yoga in the mid-90s by stumbling upon a class at a gym in Chapel Hill; then about 10 years later she returned to it and completely fell in love with the practice for the strength and healing it gave her. Through her own yoga practice during two difficult pregnancies, she learned the importance of finding time for yourself to rest and to heal, and to accept the process of pregnancy (& life) without judgment. She wants to help women get grounded in the experience of pregnancy to gain the mind-body connection that is necessary during labor and delivery. She sees yoga as a great way to get the muscles in shape, but more importantly a way to shift the energy in you and around you. In her prenatal classes, Carson focuses on making more space for baby and more stability for mom. She encourages students to get in touch with their own inner teacher.
